In Memory of Rashaun Denise Matthews (Shaun)

Rashaun Denise Matthews “Shaun” went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2008. To cherish her memory, she leaves 3 children: Sydneigh, 11; Branden, 11; Shaun Matthewsand Zaire, 7; a mother and stepfather; a father and stepmother; a brother; and a godsent brother.

Shaun served a number of roles with Breath of Hope Foundation, Inc. including
Volunteer Coordinator and, most recently, Case Manager. As the Case Manager, she oversaw patient care by assisting families in making quality decisions about health care needs.

Shaun was an exceptional, loving woman who was blessed with a gift for balancing all aspects of her life: not only was she a mother, a BOH volunteer, and a beauty, she was an intellect who earned a BS in biology.

Shaun was passionate about BOH and the organization's primary goal of helping children and their families take control of their asthma. She was
personally impacted by asthma's affects on a family because the disease plaques her younger brother and other family members. Shaun said, "The fight against Asthma is not just a cause for me. This is about life and death."

Shaun will be greatly missed; for, she was a blessing to everyone.

To honor Shaun's Memory:
In lieu of flowers, the Matthews family asks that you please consider honoring Shaun's memory by donating to a fundfor her children at Washington Mutual Bank. The account number is 844764486.
